I'd like to start off by saying that I don't usually recommend diets. I know, I have a blog that talks about weight loss programs and diets. That's because they can be a very valuable tool if used properly.
You see, when faced with the prospect of losing weight, a lot of people can easily become overwhelmed and discouraged. It is not an easy thing to do and requires a lot of work. People are often asked to give up some of their favorite things, and that is not easy at all. It can take weeks or even months to see results, and even the most patient among us has a hard time staying motivated for long without results.
This is where diets come in. There are a lot of diets out there. A lot of them, frankly, are just there to make money. The creators would be more than happy if you never lost weight, so they can keep selling you things. I don't want to sell you diets. I want you to be successful, and I hope to never see you on this website again, because you won't need to be.
There are some diets out there that really do work to help you to lose weight fast. These diets are based on solid scientific principals and they really do work. When people claim to lose 10 pounds in 4 weeks, that really does happen. And it can happen to you. That's where diets are useful. As a long term health plan, they stink. Nobody can eat nothing but celery every seventh day for the rest of their life. But most of use can do it for a few weeks. That few weeks is enough to lose a few pounds very fast. And that is a huge motivator.
Imagine how you would feel if you lost 10 pounds in a month? That's huge! You would be ecstatic! You would be motivated to lose more! You would know that you really can do it.
Because of this, I think diets can be an excellent tool to lose weight in the short term, and help you to stay motivated to keep the weight off.
Here's to your success!
